UmaTC 2026 Pilot Run Set for Double-Header Showdown at Suzuka and Motegi

Mie, 31 October — The UmaTC 2026 pilot run is preparing for its first major double-header, as the Kikuka Superprix and Tenno Superprix (Autumn) take centre stage on Saturday. The program begins at Suzuka with a 52-lap Kikuka SP at 11AM JST, before the ARO heads to Motegi for a 42-lap Tenno SP at 3PM JST.

At Suzuka, endurance and consistency will be essential over 52 laps. Lexi Boan, representing Tokai Teio, is among the names to watch, alongside Joshua Azurid with Gold Ship, Ayrin with Manhattan Cafe, and freshman Atlas Stone with Mihono Bourbon. Newcomers Rafael Castillo and Arga Schumacher also bring strong contenders to the grid, with Mejiro Ryan and Admire Vega respectively. Aqua Azurii has shown that she will lock in with the Rice Shower entry for this particular race, hoping for a mirror of the 1992 Kikuka Sho. The long-distance challenge should reward drivers who can maintain their pace and avoid costly mistakes throughout the race.

The afternoon moves to Motegi for the Tenno Superprix (Autumn), a 42-lap contest scheduled for 3PM JST. The entry list features a deep group of established contenders, including Misaki Sakura with Silence Suzuka and Tyler Williams with Oguri Cap. Late additions Fuji Kiseki, driven by Eri Shinozaki, and Tamamo Cross, driven by Grave Prower, add further intrigue to the field. Perhaps no contender would be paid more attention than TM Opera O's Alticer Antanarau, which the namesake horse won the 2000 Autumn Tenno Sho.

Liu Yu-Kwan with Special Week comes fresh off his Formula Hololive debut last weekend, with Christopher Mattiuz making his ARO debut with Daiwa Scarlet.

One of the weekend's biggest underdog stories belongs to Rudy, who will represent Haru Urara. With expectations firmly against them, the pair face a difficult challenge against a competitive field. However, the pilot run offers an opportunity to make an impression, and an unexpected result would certainly become one of the weekend's memorable moments.

With two races at two different circuits packed into one Saturday, the UmaTC 2026 pilot run promises a significant test for its drivers. Suzuka opens the action at 11AM JST, while Motegi brings the day to a close at 3PM JST. The stage is set for a landmark day in UmaTC's racing calendar.
