The Breaking Dimensions Concert and The Grand Prix @ Lime Rock Park: A Thrilling Weekend Awaits

Lime Rock, CT, August 24-25 – The 2024-25 Formula Hololive International season heads to the historic Lime Rock Park this weekend for the highly anticipated Breaking Dimensions Grand Prix. The event, coinciding with Hololive English's second concert, "Breaking Dimensions," at Kings' Theater in New York, also this weekend, promises racing action that is set to mirror the Hololive talents' performances as drivers battle it out on the short but technically demanding circuit.

The season opener saw thrilling action across two continents. In Split A at the Yeongnam SP, Hanaori Miyuki claimed her first-ever Formula Hololive victory, overcoming a season of near misses. Backed by Kobo Kanaeru, Miyuki exhibited exceptional skill, overtaking Evelyn Kuromi on Lap 32 of 36 to secure the win. The race was marked by a series of retirements, with only six cars finishing out of 14.

Split B at the Montreal SP witnessed Zeke Wimberley continue his winning form, securing his fifth Formula Hololive win. Starting from pole, Wimberley dominated the race, leading from start to finish. Javier Lusby and Mohd Shazren Redza rounded out the podium, securing their positions in the early championship standings.

After the opening round, Hanaori Miyuki and Zeke Wimberley share the top spot in the championship standings with 200 points each. Evelyn Kuromi and Javier Lusby are close behind in second with 175 points, while Kaminari Riba and Shazren Redza hold third with 150 points.

The Lime Rock Park event will feature a unique two-day format. Friday, August 23 (brought forward from August 24 due to the host's scheduling conflicts), kicks off the weekend with a 10-lap exhibition race exclusively for EN class entrants. The grid order will be determined randomly and finalized on Thursday, August 22. Following the exhibition, drivers will face a qualifying session to determine the starting grid for Race 1. Sunday, August 25 will also see a 10-lap Exhibition Race for EN class entrants, again with the grid order determined randomly and finalized on Thursday, August 22. Then, Race 2 would commence, a continuation of Race 1, and winner of Race 2 will be declared the overall winner of the Round and will take the 200 points.

Race Schedule:

- Friday, August 23

-4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time): 10-lap Exhibition Race for EN class entrants

-Qualifying Session: Determines grid for Race 1

-Race 1 (125 km / 52 laps)

- Sunday, August 25

- 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Time): 10-lap Exhibition Race for EN class entrants

- Race 2 (200 km / 84 laps): The race's starting order will be determined by the finishing order of Race 1.

Only the results of Race 2 will count towards the championship standings, making it the critical race of the weekend. With both Split A and Split B competitors converging on Lime Rock, the stakes are high, and every point will be crucial as drivers vie for the early-season lead.

As the Breaking Dimensions GP approaches, fans and teams alike are buzzing with anticipation. Will Hanaori Miyuki and Zeke Wimberley maintain their momentum, or will new challengers rise to the occasion? Huge amounts of intrigue loom the Eastern seaboard, as both the Breaking Dimensions Grand Prix and the concert come ever so closer.
