Suzuka - September 27 - The historic Suzuka Circuit is set to welcome the highly anticipated Epilogue GP weekend on September 28-29, marking one of the biggest events on the Adak-RMS Organization (ARO) calendar. With fierce competition across both the Formula Hololive International and Formula Hololive Japan (Zako & Tsuyo Cups) series, the drivers are ready to tackle one of the most challenging circuits in motorsport.
After a thrilling race at Atlanta in the INT end, Mohd Shazren Redza holds the championship lead in Formula Hololive International, ahead of Ryan Kagawa and Javier Lusby. The Koseki Bijou driver has put in a series of impressive performances, including a 16th-to-9th place climb at Atlanta, demonstrating resilience and consistency. With Suzuka’s demanding layout, Shazren will face his toughest test in FHolo INT yet as the championship battle heats up.
2023-24 champion and recent winner Aziz Muazif for Ayunda Risu will arrive at Suzuka full of confidence after securing his first victory of the season with a stunning defensive drive at Atlanta. Now sitting 11th in the standings, Muazif is poised to carry that momentum forward, while Ryan Kagawa, who finished second in Atlanta, will be eyeing a breakthrough win for Nerissa Ravencroft’s team.
Meanwhile, in Formula Hololive Japan, the Zako Cup and Tsuyo Cup also present tight championship fights. Suzuka will see drivers like Shaneil Marcman continue their quest for Zako Cup glory, while Michael Turner aims to capitalize on his recent Tsuyo Cup win at Autopolis to close the gap in the standings to current Tsuyo Cup leader Lorenzo Ricci for Houshou Marine.
The Epilogue GP weekend will feature a unique crossover format with friendly races pitting drivers from both the International and Japan series against each other in invitational races. These 3-lap invitational races will take place after their respective 5-minute qualifying sessions, offering a glimpse of high-speed action before the main events.
Formula Hololive International kicks off the weekend on Saturday, September 28, with a race that could further define the championship picture. Shazren, Kagawa, and Lusby will be in the spotlight, while drivers like Kaminari Riba who is doing double duty for Raora Panthera and Shishiro Botan, and Hanaori Miyuki for Kobo Kanaeru hope to bounce back from disappointing results in Atlanta.
The Formula Hololive Japan Zako Cup and Tsuyo Cup races will take center stage on Sunday, September 29, with some of the fiercest competition in ARO. Displaced Aqua crew member Hiyuta Asano, fresh off a memorable win at Autopolis, will look to replicate that success for Minato Aqua in the Zako Cup, while Michael Turner seeks to extend his lead in the Tsuyo Cup after a strategic masterclass also at Autopolis.
Suzuka, known for its technical corners and high-speed straights, is a track that demands precision and bravery from drivers. With iconic sections like the S-Curves, Degner Curves, and the notorious 130R, Suzuka’s unique figure-eight layout will be a true test of skill and endurance. As teams bring their best setups and strategies, Suzuka’s unforgiving nature promises to deliver high drama across all races.
Adding to the spectacle, all 54 drivers who competed in the Capture the Moment GP @ Fuji will sport special front wing colors reflecting the respective t-shirt colors of their Hololive talents’ final concert stages. This visual homage will provide a striking reminder of the crossover between motorsport and virtual entertainment, making this Epilogue GP weekend a celebration of both competition and camaraderie.
Watson Amelia's end of streaming activites will also loom large over the weekend, as Bernardo Santiago is set to compete in his final races with Amelia still active this weekend. Santiago’s performance in the INT race and Split C invitational will be an emotional one for fans and competitors alike, as the Watson Amelia team continues to race in her honor for the remainder of the season.
With the championship stakes higher than ever and an iconic circuit in the spotlight, the Epilogue GP @ Suzuka promises a weekend of unforgettable moments, with tons of stories to be told in the coming days.
