Miyagi, 23 October — Formula Hololive’s World Tsuyo/Zako Cup heads into its second round this weekend with the championship still wide open, but the grid will look a little different when the lights go out at Sportsland SUGO. Two driver changes have been confirmed ahead of Saturday’s Zako race and Sunday’s Tsuyo contest, adding fresh faces to the field just as the early-season order begins to take shape.
Atlas Stone will take over the Koseki Bijou #14 entry from Mohd Shazren Redza, who has retired indefinitely from all Hololive competitions. Stone joins the Tsuyo field with the task of carrying the entry forward from 30th, while the team begins a new chapter at SUGO. Meanwhile, Yu Kwan-Liu replaces Ayrin in the Hakos Baelz #85 entry, bringing another change to the Tsuyo lineup ahead of the weekend’s racing.
The Zako standings are led by Nichi Michan, representing Airani Iofifteen in the #15 car, after a commanding 200-point opening round at Sepang. Enzio Ferrari, driving for Kureiji Ollie in the #13, sits second on 188 points, with Yukihara Touka and Yukihana Lamy’s #63 completing the top three on 175. The new driver appointments add an extra variable to a class where every point gained now could prove crucial by the final round.
In Tsuyo, Airi Nakamura and Akai Haato’s #81 lead the way on 200 points, followed by Alticer Antanarau for Nekomata Okayu in the #5 on 188. Jake Goodwin, representing Ookami Mio in the #30, holds third with 175 points. The replacement of Ayrin by Yu Kwan-Liu in the #85 Hakos Baelz entry will be one of the weekend’s storylines as the field returns to competition.
The Sepang opener in Formula Hololive saw Isaki Riona driver Dag Patterson bottle his chances of his first win for Riona following the last lap excursion in the Zako, while Nakamura battled Antanarau for the win in the Tsuyo, with the former having triumphed. If there are any drivers to look out for, it may as well be Dag and Antanarau who are aiming to get a win to boost their title hopes.
The SUGO SP begins Saturday, October 24, with Zako scheduled for 3:00 PM JST (6:00 AM GMT), followed by Tsuyo at the same time on Sunday, October 25. With the championship still in its early stages and two entries arriving at the weekend with new drivers, Round Two offers the first chance to see whether a change behind the wheel can alter the season’s trajectory.
