Fuji, Shizuoka, February 25, 2025 –
The Color Rise Harmony GP @ Fuji Japan Races delivered an unforgettable spectacle at a snowing Fuji Speedway, setting the tone for the 2025 Formula Hololive Japan season. In this opening qualifier round, the event was split into two fiercely contested segments – Split A and Split B – with each race showcasing superb skill on the Dallara SF19 machines and high-stakes battles for Tsuyo Cup qualification.
In Split A, the action was split over two races that left fans on the edge of their seats. In Race 1, Hoshizono Ryo (driving for Nakiri Ayame, No.18) stormed to his and Ayame's debut victory in Formula Hololive, followed closely by Alex Grant (Yukihana Lamy, No.63) and Daniel Barguer (Hoshimachi Suisei, No.41). The race saw top-tier performances from the likes of Rustim Kurashio (La+ Darknesss) and Sean Poly (Inugami Korone) as they fought to close the gap on the podium.
Race 2 shifted the spotlight to Rustim Kurashio (No.39), who redeemed himself with a commanding win, and a debut win in Formula Hololive with Laplus, while Joshu Asahi (Hakui Koyori, No.54) and Airi Nakamura (Akai Haato, No.81) completed the podium.
Split B provided its own share of drama and tactical brilliance. In Race 1, Saerin (representing Otonose Kanade, No.59) set the pace with a win in Race 1 for Otonose Kanade, leading a competitive field that included Lorenzo Ricci (Houshou Marine, No.6) and Allie Jay (Kikirara Vivi, No.51).
Race 2 saw a dramatic turnaround as Kizuhara Leo (Murasaki Shion, No.8) surged to claim the top spot, again in a debut win in a ride expected to win following Shion's exclusive commitment to the Bright Idol Outfits, building on a solid Race 1 performance. Notably, Krzysztof Salmonman (AZKi, No.12) received a 15-second penalty for a collision in Race 2 to Lorenzo Ricci who was chasing Leo in the latter stages of Race 2, a minor setback in the battle for a Tsuyo Cup berth.
With both splits delivering high-octane action and razor-thin margins separating the top qualifiers from those bound for the Zako Cup, the Color Rise Harmony GP @ Fuji has not only set a high benchmark for the new season but also underscored the intense competitiveness that defines Formula Hololive Japan. With the next round over two months away, the drivers now focus on some rest before they take the wheel again at Sportsland SUGO in May.
