Pole Positions Set for Home Favorite Kanade as Hololive GT3 Japan Rolls into Yeongnam 400

Yeongnam, Jeolla , May 10 – The spotlight falls on the drivers this weekend at the Yeongnam 400, Round 2 of the 2024–25 Hololive GT3 Japan Tsuyo/Zako Series. Every point—and every rival—is in sharp focus, with not much left in the season go. In the Tsuyo Series, Akai Haato’s fire-breathing Honda NSX GT3, driven by Airi Nakamura, leads the field after her runaway win in Sepang. Behind her, Misaki Sakura (Himemori Luna) and Joshu Asahi (Hakui Koyori) will push their Hondas to the limit, each desperate to close their deficits. Daniel Barguer in Hoshimachi Suisei’s Nissan has shown raw speed, while Tyler Williams (Amane Kanata) and Jace Kinsai (Takane Lui) are both hunting their first podiums of the season. And don’t overlook Saerin, racing Otonose Kanade’s Ferrari on home soil—her local knowledge and crowd support could turn her into the weekend’s dark horse, despite a forgettable Sepang Sunday. Meanwhile in the Zako, Krzysztof Salmonman in AZKi’s Honda top-scored the opener and will start as the man to beat, but Masa Raido (Todoroki Hajime) and Isekaijin Mikolev (Sakura Miko)—winners of the opening round—stand ready to pounce. Mohamed Khashiu (Tsunomaki Watame) and Callum Gibbens (Roboco) both return with something to prove, while Joey (Juufuutei Raden) and Dan Goyena (Usada Pekora) bring veteran savvy to the grid. With Shion’s car retired, their absence reshuffles ambitions: only the top 10 and the single best 11th-placed driver will advance to the Tsuyo Cup, leaving the rest to fight for Zako silverware. Expect a hectic midfield scrap as everyone chases their last shot at redemption. This weekend, it’s all about the drivers: their form, their grit, and who can seize the moment under Yeongnam’s shining sun.
