Bogor, Jakarta, October 26 – Round 6 of the Formula Hololive International takes center stage this Sunday at the Sentul International Circuit, as the championship reaches its midpoint. New driver roster adjustments promise a fresh dynamic, with Sentul’s unique blend of challenging straights and tight corners setting the stage for intense racing. Local fans have extra reasons to celebrate, with Indonesian drivers returning to the grid at their home circuit.
Several notable driver updates have reshaped the lineup heading into this weekend’s race:
Alticer Antanarau steps aside one race early to let Hiyuta Asano take the spotlight, representing Gigi Murin for his highly anticipated home GP in Indonesia. Asano’s presence will be a highlight for local fans eager to witness his racecraft on the technical Sentul circuit.
Grave Prower now joins the competition as Gawr Gura’s official representative, taking the wheel from Evelyn Kuromi, who has transitioned to the reserve driver roster. Known for his aggressive style and flair for overtaking, Grave brings renewed energy and excitement to the grid and is keen to impress Gawr Gura's devoted Chumbud fanbase.
Joshua Azurid makes his official debut as the full-time representative for Mori Calliope, succeeding Jake Martinez, who completed his final race at home in Singapore. With Azurid’s promising past performances, he’s expected to be a solid addition to the lineup, offering both speed and consistency.
Enzio Ferrari fills the seat of Raora Panthera, replacing Kaminari Riba as the official driver. Ferrari’s Italian racing background will likely add a tactical edge, with Sentul providing the perfect proving ground for his debut.
Tomas Ferreira brings a new level of excitement, as he takes over full-time for Fuwawa Abyssgard following a week where his livery designs for the Hololive English talents gained significant acclaim. His attention to detail and artistic skill have not only earned him recognition in the paddock but also positioned him as a potential fan favorite. This race marks Ferreira’s official debut, and all eyes will be on his skill behind the wheel after he’s shown so much creativity off-track.
With seven races remaining, Ryan Kagawa leads the pack with 1,065 points, followed by Javier Lusby at 946 points. Mohd Shazren Redza holds 742 points and will look to bounce back after an early exit in Singapore. Redza’s precision driving style could serve him well in tackling Sentul’s technical complexities, making him one to watch this Sunday.
Indonesian drivers Hiyuta Asano, Evelyn Kuromi and Hinochi Taiyo will be in the spotlight as they aim for strong home performances. Asano’s debut brings an extra wave of enthusiasm, while Taiyo hopes to capitalize on local support to gain valuable points and showcase his growth throughout the season.
The reserve driver list also sees strategic adjustments:
Evelyn Kuromi now supports as a reserve driver, stepping into the role representing Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame as Tyler Williams refocuses his efforts solely on representing Amane Kanata.
Tamoyuki Aoki, Nichi Michan, and Takahashi Pin join Kuromi on the reserve lineup. Pin, notably, has been demoted to the reserve role after a recent suspension due to inappropriate comments directed at Tomas Ferreira. His suspension underscores a strong stance from the ARO on maintaining professionalism and respect among drivers. Mohd Shazren Redza, the series host, commented, “I was very disappointed to hear what Pin said to such an esteemed livery maker. Abuse is not tolerated in the ARO, and unfortunately, Pin crossed the line.”
Sentul’s layout offers a blend of high-speed straights and demanding technical sections, and fans are expected to see high-stakes overtakes. Effective braking and balanced setups will be crucial, with drivers needing to manage tire wear and maintain stability throughout the lap.
As Round 6 approaches, the Indonesian GP stands as a crucial milestone in the 2024 Formula Hololive International championship. With a refreshed driver lineup, stakes are high, and every point counts as the competition intensifies in Sentul. This weekend promises thrilling racing, as both title contenders and newcomers alike look to make their mark on this season’s journey to victory.
