Motegi Epilogue 5 Hours to Conclude Qualifiers with Color Rise Flair

Motegi, 4 July – This weekend the Epilogue 5 Hours at Twin Ring Motegi brings Round 3 of the World Series qualifiers—and simultaneously Round 5 of both the Japan and International HoloType calendars. For the World and Japan grids, these sets of 1 hour and 40 minute races, totaling 5 hours, mark the finale of the Qualifiers phase; thereafter, the top crews will split into Tsuyo and Zako championships. The International field, by contrast, runs straight through to its full‑season title fight.

51 entries out of the 65 will sport new one-off front‑end Color Rise Harmony designs: partial versions of the 6th Fes idol uniforms, worn over black or white T‑shirts emblazoned with the concert logo and member list. These liveries, inspired by the members' final song performance in each Stage except the Creators' stage, will adorn every Oreca 07—from Mohd Shazren Redza’s Koseki Bijou entry to Lexi Boan’s Shirogane Noel car—tying the racing spectacle back to Hololive’s Color Rise Idol outfits. This however excludes all DEV_IS class cars as well as EN Justice entries from receiving the livery change.

World Series Split A leader Mohd Shazren Redza (driving Koseki Bijou’s #14 Oreca) arrives on 280 points, 23 clear of Daniel Barguer (#41 Hoshimachi Suisei), who mastered traffic at Le Mans. Haziq Yazid (#90 Shiori Novella) and Lexi Boan (#08 Shirogane Noel) trail on 244 and 198 points respectively, with Mohamed Khashiu (#3 Tsunomaki Watame) holding fifth on 183 points. A podium or better tomorrow will virtually guarantee these five drivers Tsuyo qualification.

In Split B, Lia Kai (Hakos Baelz’s #85 Oreca) tops the standings on 308 points after a red‑flag romp at Le Mans. Challenger Joshua Azurid (#4 Mori Calliope) sits at 265 points, while Ed Skye (#16 Kazama Iroha) and Tyler Williams (#57 Amane Kanata) are locked in a tight battle for third and fourth. With point gaps modest, expect strategic pit windows and tire gambits under Motegi’s looming rain clouds.

Split C sees Mono Zettarou (Ouro Kronii’s #92) on 222 points, just ahead of Alticer Antanarau (#5 Nekomata Okayu) and Callum Gibbens (#64 Roboco) on 204 and 200 points. Dark‑horse Sammy Ake (#22 Shirakami Fubuki) and Vladislav Domaschnev (#19 Aki Rosenthal) round out the top five. A non‑finish for any of these could hand a Tsuyo berth to the next driver in line.

On the Japan Series side, Alticer Antanarau’s 494 points have already locked him into the Tsuyo, as has Lexi Boan (398 pts). The battle for P3–P11 runs through Callum Gibbens (#64 Roboco), Daniel Barguer (#41 Suisei), and Mohamed Khashiu (#3 Watame). In Split B, Jake Martinez (Hiodoshi Ao’s #05) leads Ho Phu‑My (#36 Tokino Sora) by seven points; even mid‑pack finishes could swing the final Japanese Tsuyo line‑up.

Meanwhile the INT Series rolls on unperturbed. Haziq Yazid sits atop its standings on 466 points, chased by Dan Evans (#15 Airani Iofifteen) and Mohd Shazren Redza. Their performances bode well for another epic 5‑hour duel at Motegi, where every pit‑stop strategy will carry weight across all three championships.

With rising humidity and varying start times for the three splits, Motegi’s Epilogue 5 Hours promises a fitting crescendo to qualifiers. As the sun sets behind the Motegi hills, drivers, cars and fans alike will witness the last hurrah of this phase—before the Tsuyo/Zako battles ignite in the World and Japan series and cover‑to‑cover glory in the International series.
