Sportsland SUGO, 30 December 2023 - The roar of engines filled the air as the 2024 Hololive GT3 Japan Series Qualifiers kicked off at Sportsland SUGO, promising excitement and fierce competition. However, for Krzysztof Salmonman, representing AZKi in the #12 AZKi Honda NSX GT3, the day ended in disappointment. Salmonman, who enjoyed a breakout season in 2023, finishing fourth in both the overall and postseason championships of HoloGT3 Japan, faced an unfortunate turn of events. Starting from the back, the driver experienced a challenging race exit on Lap 32 at the SP Out corner on, going off wide, losing control, and colliding with fellow drivers who faced a similar fate ahead of him. This setback places Salmonman at the 33rd position in the qualifiers standings, currently 13 spots below the crucial 20th position. If the standings hold, Salmonman will miss the opportunity to compete in the prestigious 2024 Hololive GT3 Tsuyo Series, being relegated to the second-tier 2024 Hololive GT3 Zako Series. In an interview with a reporter, Salmonman expressed his disappointment, saying, "It's a tough start to the season, no doubt. Mistakes happen, but it's unfortunate when they cost you this much. The competition is fierce, and every position matters." Despite the early setback, Salmonman remains optimistic about the remaining rounds of the qualifiers, stating, "It's not the end. We have three more rounds, and I'm confident in my abilities. I made a mistake today, but I'm determined to bounce back. My focus is on the next races, and I believe I can still secure my spot in the Tsuyo Series." The upcoming rounds will undoubtedly test Salmonman's resilience and skill, as he strives to overcome the odds and qualify for the prestigious Tsuyo Series in the 2024 Hololive GT3 Japan Series.
