Indy GP Finale – The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny of the 2023-24 Formula Hololive International Season

Indianapolis, Indiana, 23 May 2024 – The 2023-24 Formula Hololive International season has seen thrilling races, unexpected turns, and fierce competition, with the championship battle reaching its coveted conclusion, the stage is set for the grand finale at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, utilizing the Grand Prix course on May 25th, 2024, at 2 PM ET. With the title on the line, the Indy GP promises to be an unforgettable race, where every lap could redefine the standings and crown a different champion.

Last weekend's Ontario GP at Mosport was a grueling test of endurance and skill, with only 13 drivers out of 24 finishing the race, and only a few managing to complete it on the lead lap. The high kerbs at Turn 8 proved to be a treacherous challenge, causing multiple incidents and crashes that led to 13 DNFs.

Hinochi Taiyo was the first to retire due to steering problems right at the start.

After a series of strategic pit stops and high-stakes maneuvers, Koboker Hanaori Miyuki briefly led the race on Lap 11, only to be overtaken by the KFP's Corey-Rico Mendez on Lap 24.

The notorious Turn 8 claimed several victims throughout the race:

Shawn Goh (Lap 1)
Aziz Muazif (Lap 2):

The championship leader's early exit after a collision dashed his hopes of securing the title at Mosport.

Yuri-Rafael de Oliviera (Lap 7)
Hanaori Miyuki (Lap 24)
Ethan Berthelsen (Lap 30)
Ryan Kagawa and Liam Kai (Lap 44)
Dan Evans (Lap 47)
Corey-Rico Mendez and Zeke Wimberley (Lap 68)

Other notable incidents included Shaneil Marcman’s spin and crash at Turn 3 on Lap 10, and Kagawa’s race-ending collision with Angela Sims at Turn 1 on Lap 53.

However, disaster struck for Mendez and Wimberley on Lap 68 when they collided at Turn 8 while leading, squandering their golden opportunity to capitalize on Muazif's early exit.

In the end, Liam Kai emerged victorious, scoring his first win in ARO competitions and his first Formula Hololive win. Shazren Redza secured his first podium finish for Koseki Bijou in second place, while Ahmed el-Ashour finished third for Kaela Kovalskia, marking his debut podium in the series.

With just one race remaining, the championship standings have seen a slightly different complexion:

Aziz Muazif: 975 points
Takeda Adachi: 838 points
Jake Martinez: 810 points
Zeke Wimberley: 795 points

As the drivers head to the Indy GP Finale, the title is within Muazif's grasp. To secure the championship regardless of his rivals' performance, Muazif needs to finish 7th or higher. However, with the unpredictability that has characterized this season, nothing is guaranteed, and as any other driver, Muazif must not rest on his laurels to secure what would be a deserving title.

In preparation for the next season, Haziq Yazid will replace Yu Chae-Yon, stepping in for Shiori Novella. Yazid’s performance at the finale will be closely watched as he gears up for his first full-time season in 2024-25.

With the weekend looming, the Indy GP Finale is set to be a nail-biting conclusion to a sensational season. With the championship on the line and the storied Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the battleground, fans can expect an afternoon of high-octane drama and memorable moments.

Will Aziz Muazif clinch the title, or will his rivals rise to the occasion?
