Sepang, 10 October — The HoloProto championship battles return to Malaysia this weekend as the Sepang 500 brings three title campaigns into focus. Serving as Round 3 of 5 in the World Tsuyo/Zako Series, Round 3 of 4 in the Japan Tsuyo/Zako Series and Round 8 of 9 in HoloProto International, the 46-lap races could prove pivotal. Zako takes the track Saturday at 9am MYT/10am JST, followed by Tsuyo on Sunday at 2pm MYT/3pm JST.
In the World Tsuyo, Mathias Zacarias arrives with the advantage after taking Raora Panthera’s No. 60 to victory at Suzuka. Tyler Williams sits just 12 points behind after his second-place finish for Ouro Kronii, while Grave Prower is third for Mococo Abyssgard, 25 points off the lead. With only three rounds remaining, Zacarias cannot afford to treat the championship as his to lose.
Williams is the immediate threat, but Joddy Pranata and Eri Shinozaki remain within striking distance. Nichi Michan also deserves attention after a strong Suzuka outing for Airani Iofifteen. Meanwhile, Alticer Antanarau will be looking to turn Suzuka’s momentum into a bigger result for Nekomata Okayu. Sepang’s long straights and heavy braking zones could offer plenty of opportunities to attack—or lose everything under pressure.
The World Zako field has an equally compelling contest brewing. Angela Sims leads after winning for Anya Melfissa’s No. 33 at Suzuka, with Tawan Bhumin only 12 points back for Fuwawa Abyssgard. Joey sits third for Juufuutei Raden, while Ed Skye and Hanaori Miyuki remain close enough to disrupt the leading pair.
Joey is especially worth watching after establishing himself as a force in Japan Zako, while Jake Goodwin’s strong Suzuka performance for Ookami Mio suggests he could again punch above expectations in the Japan Tsuyo. The dark horses may be the deciding factor in a field where one mistake can cost a driver valuable points across multiple championships.
Sepang also arrives at a crucial stage of the International standings. Airani Iofifteen’s No. 15 leads the championship, but Kronii's Williams and the chasing pack will be eager to capitalize before the final round. Every position matters, particularly for drivers trying to turn consistent finishes into a late title charge.
With Japan’s championship battles approaching their final round and International heading toward its finale, the Sepang 500 is more than another stop on the calendar. It is a chance to build momentum, protect a lead or put a rival under pressure.
Only a few rounds remain—and Sepang is where the contenders must show their hand.
