Evans and Yopi Goes Back-to-Back at Sebring as Strategy Defines Sebring 200

Sebring, 30 April — Round 2 of the 2026 HoloProto International Series at Sebring International Raceway saw Dan Evans, representing Airani Iofifteen in the #15 Oreca prototype, deliver a masterclass in race strategy to claim victory in the Sebring 200 last Sunday.

In what marked the first of four standalone rounds in the International calendar—separate from World Tsuyo and Zako qualification implications—Evans executed a decisive overcut strategy to secure his second consecutive win of the season.

Starting from second on the grid, Evans remained within striking distance during the opening stint before pitting on Lap 20 of 34. While rivals opted for earlier stops, Evans’ longer first stint allowed him to cycle into the lead once pit sequences concluded, a position he would not relinquish.

The victory extends his championship lead to 184 points over 2nd placed Enzio Ferrari representing Raora Panthera in the #60 Oreca, establishing an early gap in the International standings.

Behind Evans, Hanaori Miyuki, driving for Kobo Kanaeru in the #40 Oreca, delivered a standout performance to finish second, marking a significant leap up the standings after a modest Fuji result.

Third place went to Aziz Muazif, representing Ayunda Risu in the #62 Oreca, completing an all-Indonesian top three and underlining the strength of the ID contingent in endurance-style racing conditions.

Haziq Yazid, in the #90 Oreca for Shiori Novella, secured fourth place with a composed drive, continuing his upward trajectory in the standings.

Enzio Ferrari rounded out the top five, a result that moves him into second overall in the championship.

Further down the order, Evelyn Kuromi (Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, #53) and Sven Jensen (IRyS, #86) maintained consistency with sixth and seventh respectively, keeping themselves within reach of the leading group.

In contrast to previous rounds across ARO competitions, the Sebring 200 was relatively clean, with only one retirement recorded.

That lone DNF proved significant, however, as Hiyuta Asano, representing Gigi Murin in the #44 Oreca, was forced out with an engine failure on Lap 2—halting what could have been another strong points finish.

Elsewhere, several key contenders endured difficult races outside the points. Tawan Bhumin (Fuwawa Abyssgard, #25) and Ryan Kagawa (Pavolia Reine, #01) both failed to score, losing ground in the championship fight after strong performances at Fuji.

With two rounds completed, the International standings are beginning to stabilize.

Evans now leads decisively on 400 points, while Ferrari moves into second with 216. Jensen sits third on 202, narrowly ahead of Miyuki, whose Sebring podium elevates her to fourth overall.

Further back, Muazif’s third-place finish lifts him into sixth, while previously strong performers such as Bhumin and Kagawa drop positions after failing to capitalize at Sebring.

Next up, the INT field will join the JP roster at Le Mans at the end of May for the Le Mans 600.
