Indianapolis, Indiana, 29 May 2024 ー Throughout the buildup to the Indy GP race last Saturday, the Formula Hololive International drivers were asked about their opinions about their season.
With only some drivers only joining the series mid-season, some may only share their thoughts from their respective first races.
Takeda Adachi who represents Ninomae Ina'nis in Formula Hololive International was only expected to finish mid-table but have surpassed expectations as Adachi won a controversial Indonesia GP and was a title contender right until the end.
When told about his season, he told "I am surprised I managed to stay at least a top 4 this season and even had chance to win. But I'm glad I did."
He then told about him somehow winning the Indonesia GP as his most memorable moment of the season.
He also told about "staying in the top 3 and hope to win (the FHolo INT title) this time" when talked about his aspirations for next season.
Chumbud representantive Shawn Goh had this to say;
"Yeah I sucked ass this season. We had a lot of races where we just weren't fast enough.
There's this one race where I lost the overall win thanks to the worst ever strat, and very bad tyres, but yeah, just bad."
When asked about the next season, he responded; "I just want wins, and to finish Top 3. Next year will be our year."
Goh ran the season scoring only a podium in 10 points races, 3rd at the Buriram SP. He did win the Capture the Moment GP Split A race in the EN class.
Meanwhile Nanashi Mumei representative Ethan Berthelsen has this to say days before the final round at Indy;
"I think I was quite bad in Malaysia but overall things are good, just unlucky to DNF in that last race.
When asked about his best moment of the season, he responded;
"I don't really remember, but I did finish 2nd at the CTM Grand Prix Split C race. GG."
He also remarked this about what his targets are next season; "Consistent podium contender." is what he said.
On the other side of the grid, Yuri-Rafael de Oliviera had a respectable season for Pavolia Reine where he finished 12th in the final standings, with his best finish coming in at the Malaysia GP with a second place.
de Oliviera: "As a newcomer to the FHInt, I believe that this season met my expectations, especially as I already partially know how the races are organized.
"My most memorable moment is when I became winner of the ID class at Capture the Moment GP - Day 1. In addition to having the opportunity to compete with JP bros, I had the joy of enjoying this 1st place representing my beloved Peafowl Princess."
Reporter: "As far as memorable moments go, this also includes your 2nd place at Malaysia right?"
de Oliviera: "Yes."
Reporter: "What are your thoughts heading into next season?"
de Oliviera: "First of all, I want to improve my agression level and other attributes. Furthermore, not only continue doing my best to represent my Kamioshi, but also hope for the good performance of the cars that represent other Hologirls that I admire."
After a turbulent season of highs and lows for chaos incarnate Hakos Baelz, Liam Kai had this to say about his season:
-Thoughts on the season?
"I think it's pretty ok"
-Most memorable moment?
"When I crashed out on for a race win in Spielberg"
-Expectations for next season?
"Championship win probably."
Late debutant for Vestia Zeta Javier Lusby came after longtime driver Kate Garcia left the series following the Capture the Moment Grand Prix weekend in March. His debut came at the Red Bull Ring at the Spielberg GP, where he had his podium finish on his debut race.
"Although joining late in the season, I think it was a fun experience,
Also, I enjoyed the last race in Canada, the amount of retirements due to crashes on the same corners."
When asked about next season's championship hopes, he responded in kind "Hopefully a top 10 or top 5, I think it can be done."
Shaneil Marcman also came late in the series representing Mococo Abyssgard in the final two races of the season. Here are some important bits to take away from him.
"I haven't been able to be there the whole season but it's pretty great in my last two races."
"When I got a decent finish at Indy, that's a moment I'd like to look back."
"I'll just hope for a Mercedes 2020 dominance from me next season"
As evidenced by these comments, there has been a lot of enthusiasm for the drivers, with each of their best moments etched deep in their memories. There is no doubt that for next season, the drivers will itch to have another go in the Formula Hololive International season with their respective oshis.
