Sebring, Florida, May 10 2025 – The 2025 HoloType International season roared into Round 2 at Sebring’s famed 80-minute Supersprint, delivering drama, debut highs and bittersweet farewells under cloudy skies.
Airani Iofifteen’s Dan Evans claimed a sensational victory in car #15, fending off a late charge from Ninomae Ina’nis pilot Takeda Adachi to score 350 points and vault into the early championship lead. In a sensational turn for the alien, Evans executed flawless pit stops and tire strategy to outpace both Evelyn Kuromi (3rd, 150 pts) and Gawr Gura’s Grave Prower (4th, 130 pts) in a race littered with early incidents, in his penultimate race for Gawr Gura in HoloType.
Mumei car storylines took centre stage as Mathias Zacarias stepped in for Ethan Berthelsen, marking the penultime active run for Mumei in HoloType. Zacarias battled, however also succumbed to accidents late into the race. Meanwhile, Hoshinova Moona’s Hinochi Taiyo and Pavolia Reine’s Yuri-Rafael de Oliveira succumbed to early exits, underscoring Sebring’s unforgiving nature.
E. R. Bloodflame’s Evelyn Kuromi dazzled with a podium drive from mid-grid, and Nichi Michan’s Mococo Abyssgard entry impressed by salvaging 8th after contact in Turn 5. Sven Jensen celebrated his first points with IRyS in 11th, while Mono Zettarou finally broke the top 12 for Ouro Kronii. Notably, rising stars Corey-Rico Mendez and Hanaori Miyuki each battled mechanical gremlins yet finished within the top 14. With two rounds complete, the standings tighten. Evans leads with 350 pts, followed by Haziq Yazid (272 pts) and Prower (260 pts). But as the series heads to Le Mans 5 Hours next month, one thing is certain: Sebring’s supersprint served notice that no title contender can be taken lightly.
