Formula Holo Action Continues In Two Peninsulas

The Formula Holo circus visits two coastal sites: Miami for Round 3 and Emilia Romagna for Round 4. Myth-Watson suffered setback after setback in Round 3 as polesitter Ina'nis Ninomae gets jumped by FLOWGLOW FH's Vivi Kikirara and Promise Formula Holo's Mumei Nanashi. Number 78's rider in particular commanded a solid lead all throughout the race while Mumei in her #50 mounted a late challenge but ultimately wasn't afforded an angle by the resident makeup artist of FLOWGLOW. Further misfortune befell Ina as on Lap 19, her #40 losing control on the penultimate turn leading up to the main start/finish straight. The lilac machine stalled on the cyan tarmac as the accident damaged its internals. Ina's race ended in a miserable 36th after getting pole to start. Vivi's win caps a back-to-back trip to the top step of a podium right after Chihaya Rindo and her #77 dominated Fuji Holo Prix.

Other notable performances include "mother-and-daughter" Ollie Kureiji and Baelz Hakos of RoyalTea Motorsport and the aforementioned Promise team respectively, finishing 6th and 7th after both did not show up for either Round 1 or 2. There was also Raora Panthera filling out the Miami podium for Justice Racing Team who continues their explosive debut all by her lonesome as the 2 of her squad failed to make the 40-car cutoff while Gigi Murin languishes in 33rd at the flag.

As with the STCC race conducted 24 hours before, the sweeping Turn 9 proved to be the trouble section for several people. Kaela Kovalskia of H3 Motorsport Team crashed hard with her #58 which then caused a massive traffic jam. The same befell Risu Ayunda in her #30 Area 15 Moonarchitects car, both incidents happening on Lap 1. Casualties also included Nerissa Ravencroft of Advent motorsport after overextending her #62, causing the car to stall near the pit exits. Botan Shishiro also fell ill a few laps later, just walking distance away from where Nerissa fell ill.

A week passed and the circus was off to Emilia Romagna next for Round 4. Hometown hero Raora took pole with fan-favorite Pekora Usada right behind her, off the heels of a top 10 finish previously. The flag fell and Raora got a good launch but not enough to shake off the titular Usaken-Fantasia driver in her #21 machine. Iofifteen Airani jumped Advent's leader Shiori Novella, making the top 3 be all from different sides of the Hololive family tree. The battle for the lead raged on throughout the race, but reached a breaking point as the Italian made a massive mistake on Lap 20 at Variante Villeneuve as she tried to claw back her lead but ended up doing an all-too-risky move that dropped her briefly to 3rd behind Area 15's Iofi. She eventually regained 2nd and was within distance of Pekora but the damage was too severe and there was not enough race for her to do what she must, settling for 2nd and claiming Justice's first podium after 4 rounds in.

Elsewhere down the grid, Ayame Nakiri leads the charge for Aku-Ken Exodia, finishing just outside the podium. 2 names that haven't been seen prior make a big comeback: the staffer Nodoka Harusaki in 7th and Ayame's teammate Choco Yuzuki in 9th. Defending Champion Miko Sakura rounds off the top 10, bouncing back from a horrible opener and no-showing the next 2 rounds.

Myth's woes continue as they plummet to the bottom of the standings after Ina's Miami misery, with only 24th in Imola, Calliope Mori's 13th in her #38 at Miami and Kiara Takanashi's 24th also in Miami to show for in this pair of races. Promise, Myth's direct kouhais, make the biggest leap from cellar-dwelling 17th to 9th in the standings, behind Mumei's 2nd at Miami. Usaken-Fantasia leads the constructor's race at a commanding 456 points, thanks to stellar performances from Pekora, Marine and Noel over the 4 rounds so far. They are Scuderia Genesi also has a huge gain of its own, jumping from 9th to 3rd after good performances from Sora in the #2 and Azki in her #16.

The races comes next to two established circuits on the opposite sides of the Atlantic: Catalunya and Circuit Gilles Villneuve. Myth will have to get itself together to not stay at the cellar for long and honor their teammate/title sponsor Amelia Watson. A few racers from EN will have a homecoming for Montreal, namely Myth's Ina, Promise's Kronii Ouro, and twins Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard of Advent Motorsport.
