FHWC Opens To Two Explosive Victories with Reine and Chihaya Taking Wins Early

27 January - The V-Tuber Racing Project's oldest and grandest series is back in town with two races, set in Melbourne and Fuji.

Melbourne started with a HoloID 1-2, 2023's World Champion Reine Pavolia of RoyalTea Motorsport making a statement for the Rainbow Star, with Moona Hoshinova of Area 15 Moonarchitects providing the challenge. Shiori Novella heads the charge for both Advent Motorsport and the entirety of HoloEN at 3rd.

At the lights, the two tall bombshells of HoloID clashed for the lead, but the peafowl princess locked down the lead while best of the rest was held by Moona for quite a time until some laps later, Novella made quite a story by ambushing Hoshinova for second. Later however, more racers joined the picture, particualrly Matsuri Natsuiro from Red Heart Plasmagic and Marine Houshou of Usaken-Fantasia. There also was Zeta Vestia from H3 Motorsport, but ultimately played a lesser role in the bigger picture. Houshou and Hoshinova had a clash in the later canto of the race to decide who would join Reine and Matsuri on the Australian podium, of which the buxom pirate won out. Erstwhile 2nd place holder Novella ultimately had to settle for rounding off the Top 5 for the Aussie Holo Prix.

Fuji was quite the breakout for Flowglow and especially for front row placer Chihaya Rindo, the team's ace driver. The younger Abyssgard, Mococo, took pole while behind her and Chihaya, Gigi Murin of the new Justice Racing Team and Hajime Todoroki of Regloss Motorsport Team took 3rd and 4th respectively to start.

At the lights, Flowglow's ace driver took down Advent's designated chaser while the latter's counterpart; Murin, was for a while in the hunt for the lead. Chaos befell the race on Lap 4 despite the Avatar of Chaos herself not being in any of the two races' grids. The incident happened at the start/finish straight and the main characters were NPLB Motorsport's Polka Omaru and Mio-Fa Tauri's Okayu Nekomata, the latter's car rolling over the former in a horrible manner. Other notable victims include Flare Shiranui from Usaken Fantasia, Azki from Scuderia Genesi.

Just a lap later, Myth-Watson's Calliope Mori collided spectacularly with Nerissa Ravencroft. The race soon became a matter of staying alive as various gremlins befell the racing grid with only about approximately 25 cars in the lead lap. And in the end, neither of the two chasers took down Rindo which makes for a spectacular debut race for Flowglow's ace driver, going from a DNQ the previous round to winning it all the next. Murin comes home in 2nd ahead of one half of her rival twin Mococo in 3rd. Botan Shishiro of NPLB quietly executed her way up to 4th from way down 30th, while Usaken Fantasia's Noel Shirogane rounds off Fuji's Top 5.

Going into Miami and Imola, a number of teams will have to get themselves back into shape. Among them are Myth Watson, with only Ina'nis Ninomae scoring the team's 38 points and Promise FH Team doing worse with a solitary point from Mumei Nanashi. The newly-rebranded X Seis also needs to put themselves together after the departure of Chloe Sakamata and their highest finish so far being 20th from Iroha Kazama while Laplus blew a 5th place start in Melbourne to finish 32nd and record a 33rd place in Fuji while Lui Takane has only a 31st in Melbourne and wasn't seen in Fuji. Force Ubersheep has some serious questions to ask too, with their only points coming from their flagship driver Watame Tsunomaki.

Meanwhile, the newbie teams Justice Racing Team and Flowglow Formula Holo are declaring with an exclamation point they have arrived, placing high in the constructor's race after 2 rounds. Red Heart Plasmagic and Regloss Motorsport come into Miami tied at 178, which presents quite the contrast in tenure. Advent Motorsport tops the Constructors at 189 pts, 11 clear of both Regloss and Red Heart

For the Driver's Championship, Miko's reign is not starting well at all, not making the cut in Australia and only scoring 9 pts in Japan. Reine Pavolia leads the tally with 137 pts, followed closely by Hajime Todoroki with 121. Following close behind is Matsuri Natsuiro with 120, Chihaya Rindo at 100 and Gigi Murin with 73 rounding off the top 5 for Drivers'.
