Showdown Across the Atlantic

Barcelona/Montreal, 29 March - Amidst two bombshells since the last round at Imola, the FHWC circus moves to Barcelona and Montreal for rounds 5 and 6. Weeks after Shion Murasaki announced her graduation exactly set for the April 26 races, fans had a rude awakening or a bad end to their day(depending where they were). Promise Formula Holo Team's Mumei Nanashi released a video on Youtube announcing her exit from the FHWC scene after joining with the erstwhile Coucil Racing Team in 2022, reforming into Promise FH Team in 2023 after they lost Sana Tsukumo, Season 5 winner. She cited health problems as her main reason for her exit in FHWC, along with her inability to cope to the ever more stringent regulations of the league. Tears can be heard by the end of the approximately 8 minute video posted days ago.

Going back to the racing matter at hand, the winner circle is looking lively as there had been 4 different girls winning out of 4 races. These include RoyalTea Motorsport's titular member and 2023 World Series Championship Reine Pavolia in Melbourne, new team Flowglow Formula Holo's Chihaya Rindo in Suzuka, her teammate Kikirara Vivi in Miami, and Usaken Fantasia's eponymous driver Pekora Usada after that thrilling battle in Imola. Coincidentally, the two main characters of the Imola Holo Prix sit atop the drivers' board, with Regloss Motorsport's Hajime Todoroki in 3rd. Defending Champion Miko Sakura of the newly-renamed Scuderia Genesi's campaign started off the wrong foot, being cut off in Melbourne, performing poorly in Suzuka, only hitting her stride in Imola with a 10th.

The driver's top 10 is sporting a healthy mix of veterans and newcomers. These include, aside from the aformentioned top 3, in order: Season 4 Champion Noel Shirogane, Iofifteen Airani, Melbourne winner Reine, Ayame Nakiri, Matsuri Natsuiro, Miami winner Kiki and Sora Tokino, the most experienced on the grid.

Over at the Constructors' side of things, it has been a grueling season so far for the first EN-based team, Myth Watson, with Ina'nis Ninomae being the bulk of their points. Misery befell the Texas-based squad after Ina fell from 2nd at Miami which yielded a far more paltry load of points. It is not much better either for either the newly-rebranded X Seis Secret Society Motorsport and Force Ubersheep, with the latter having one of the two racers yet to score, the other being in Myth. At the sharper end, it's crowd darling Usaken Fantasia, newcomer Justice Racing Team, and Scuderia Genesi; the oldest team occupying the three highest positions. All three teams have all their members score on the top half of the grid at least once. The embattled Promise FH made quite the stride, going dead last after Rd2 to being exactly at the midpoint in the standings at 9th behind the outgoing Mumei's 2nd at Miami.

Montreal Holo Prix will mark a homecoming for several racers, including Kronii Ouro, one of the two remaining from the original Promise Motorsport, the Abyssgard twins Fuwawa and Mococo of Advent Motorsport, and Ina from Myth.
